4 Types of Imperialism
- Colony: The policy or practice of a wealthy or powerful nation's maintaining or extending its control over other countries, especially in establishing settlements or exploiting resources.
- Protectorate: The country has its own government but part is controlled by outside power.
- Sphere of Influence: a country or area in which another country has power to affect developments although it has no formal authority. Trading rights.
- Economic Imperialism: Independent country controlled by a business.
